Accept Heaven’s Help – You’ve prayed for help, so get out of the way and let Heaven help you.
And my interpretation for you – I think this one can be tricky, not because you don’t know what “Heaven’s help” is, but because it’s hard to know how to “get out of your own way.” What does it even mean to be in your own way? Or in Heaven’s way?
Well, it means that you are stopping the flow of good stuff by resisting and not allowing, by thinking negative thoughts, by paying attention to negative things and people, and by not accepting help that comes to you. It’s time to put aside preconceived notions about what “help” must be.
You know that old joke about the man who was drowning in a flood, and he sat on his roof as the waters rose. He prayed, “Dear Lord, please save me from this flood.” Soon, a big log floated by and he thought, “I could get on that, maybe, but no, I have prayed and the Lord will save me.”
Then, a sheriff came by in a little boat and offered the man a lift. “No, thanks,” the man hollered. “The Lord will save me!” Next, a helicopter hovered overhead and dropped a ladder to the man. He waved them away, shouting, “The Lord will save me!”
The waters rose higher and the man drowned. When he arrived in Heaven and he met the Lord, he asked, “Lord, what did I do wrong? I asked you to save me, but you didn’t.”
And the Lord answered, “My beloved child, I sent you a log, a boat, and a helicopter to save you. What else did you want?”
So try saying “YES! Thank you!” The help may not come in the form you expected, but, if you pay attention and allow goodness, it will come.
